Prohibition of Alcohol in Hindus Scripture: A Priest Killer, Liquor drinker, thief ,a violator his gurus Marriage bed . they all are major sinners. ......[Manu Smriti Ch 9 Verse 235] Punishment : “There miserable men no one should eat with them no one Should scarify for them, on one read them, on one should marry them. They should excommunicated from all the religion and wonder though out the world” [Manu Smriti Ch 9 Verse 238]
“A Drinker , priest killer ,who theft, who violator his gurus marriage bed and All those who are associated with them they are doing major crime(sin)” [Manu Smriti Ch 9 Verse 55]
“You acknowledge on friendship for the wealthy man (who makes no offerings): Those who are puffed up with wine offended you: when you institute (The sacrifice), you expelled niggardliness, and you are invoked as protector” [Reg veda Book 8 Hymn 21 Mantra 14]
“The potations (of soma) contend in you interior (for your Exhilaration) like the ebriety caused by wine: your worshippers praise you (filled full of soma) like the udder (of a cow with milk) [Reg veda Book 8 hymn 2 Mantra 12] Several places mentions wine is prohibited: Manu Smriti Ch 7 Verse 47 Manu Smriti Ch 7 Verse 50 Manu Smriti Ch 9 Verse 221 & 222 Manu Smriti Ch 9 Verse 258 Manu Smriti Ch 9 verse 225 Manu Smriti Ch 11 Verse 94 Prohibition of alcohol in the Bible The Bible prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the following verses: a) “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging; and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.” [Proverbs 20:1] b)“And be not drunk with wine.” [Ephesians 5:18]
